Bank Services
Banks provide useful services, such as remittances, deposits, salary transfers and payments of
utility bills. Moreover, if you have a cash card issued, you will be able to make withdrawals and
deposits at automated teller machines.
To open a bank account, your personal seal and residence card or passport are required. For more information, please
contact each bank. Over-the-counter services at banks are generally
available from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on weekdays (closed on national holidays).
Postal Services
The main types of domestic mail include postal cards, standard-sized envelopes (up to 50g) and non-standard-sized envelopes.
International mail services include EMS (Express Mail Service), air mail, surface mail and SAL
(Surface-Airlifted). Postage varies depending on the destination, weight and shipping method.

Registered mail or a parcel delivered while you are not home is taken back to the post office, with a non-delivery notice left in your mailbox. To pick the item up at the post office, the non-delivery notice and your ID are required. To have the item redelivered, please call the number indicated on the notice. Alternatively, you can arrange redelivery online following the instructions given there.
